Artwork Setup Guide
Banner Printing has an experienced in-house design team, but when supplying your own artwork, please follow a few simple guidelines. Clear instructions, accurate wording and correctly prepared files will help us produce the best possible printed result.
Our design team works with all major desktop publishing and design software. For advice on creating, checking or supplying your banner artwork, please contact us and we will be happy to help.
For orders containing more than one design or variation, please upload all artwork in a clearly labelled ZIP file or provide an organised multipage PDF.

Proofing
Please check and approve your artwork before uploading it. Carefully review all spelling, grammar, colours, dimensions, layout and design details.
Our pre-press team will inspect your files and provide a free digital proof for approval before printing begins. We will point out any obvious technical issues, but you remain responsible for checking and approving the final content, design and layout.

While Designing…
To make sure your printed banner is produced exactly as expected, please follow these artwork setup guidelines before submitting your design.
Artwork setup tips:
- Set your artwork to CMYK colour mode rather than RGB for more accurate printed colours.
- Add a 3mm bleed around every edge where the background or design runs to the finished edge.
- Keep important text, logos and design elements at least 5mm inside the trim line.
- Create your artwork at the exact finished banner size you intend to order.
- Supply images at a minimum resolution of 150dpi at the final printed size.
- Make sure all text is outlined or that the required fonts are embedded in the file.
- Check that your artwork matches the size, orientation and finishing options selected.
- Allow clear space around hems, eyelets, pole pockets and other finishing areas.
- Supply each banner design as a clearly labelled file where multiple versions are required.
- For double-sided banners, provide the front and reverse artwork in the correct order within a multipage PDF.
Printed Banner Artwork
Your artwork should be created at the finished size of the banner you are ordering. For the best print quality, please supply a print-ready PDF containing clear, high-resolution images.
Use the correct artwork template for your selected banner size and finishing options. This will help keep important content away from hems, eyelets, pole pockets and trimmed edges.
